NSWCCC Athletics Championships 2018

The NSWCCC Athletics Championships were held on Friday 21st September at SOPAC, Homebush.

It was a terrific day and a very successful meet for Broken Bay. Some highlights included:

·        Overall GIRLS champions, defeating CGSSSA (which is no small feat!) and runner up in the BOYS placing 2^nd to MCS!

·        27 gold, 25 silver and 14 bronze medals

·        1 National record in the 12-15 years 200m multi class division for James Gladman of St Leo’s College  (TBC with Athletics NSW)

·        1 record for Clara Nourdine (MSB College) in the 12-15 years Triple Jump (she is only 13!)

·        1 age champion – Lara Williams (Stella Maris College) in the 13 girls

·        St Edwards College winning the 14-15 years boys 4 x 100m relay – as a school based team  

·        4 Gold medals for James Gladman (St Leo’s College) – competing in the 12-15 boys multiclass division (200m, 100m, SP, LJ)

·        2 Gold medals for Lara Williams (Stella Maris College) in the 13 girls 200m and 400m

·        2 Gold medals for Ewan Burns (St Paul’s College) in the 15 years 200m and 400m

·        2 Gold medals for Bayden Little (St Leo’s College)  in the 15 years javelin and junior 1500m walk

·        2 Gold medals for Belinda Scott (St Edmund’s College) in the 16+ years multi class - 200m and 800m

·        2 Gold medals for Clara Nourdine (MSB College)  in the 13 years long  jump and 12-15 years triple jump
