Open: Thursday 13th June 2019
Junior & Intermediate Girls: Thursday 12th September 2019
Junior & Intermediate Boys: Thursday 15th August 2019

Venue: Gosford City Basketball & Sports Stadium, Duffys Road, Terrigal

Division: Junior (Years 7 & 8), Intermediate (Years 9 & 10) and Open (Open age) Boys and Girls

Commencing Time: 8:30am approximately (depending on entries)

Concluding Time: 3:00pm approximately

Rules and Information

Schools will be divided into pools where numbers allow.  Otherwise it will run as a round robin tournament.

Timing: 2 x 12 minute halves.

Duty: Each school to provide 1 bench duty person per team.

Referees: Badged referees will be used on the day.

Uniforms: Team uniforms and colours must match, with numbers on the front and baks of the tops. PLayers who are in incorrect uniform must not take the court. Teams are to provide their own warm up balls and to present one to the referee controlling the game. The ball must be leather.

Scoresheets: Scoresheets will be available in the foyer area and must be filled in at least 30 minutes prior to the commencement of your game. Modified FIBA scoresheets will be used for all games

Forfeits: Games will start on time. Teams must take the court with at least 5 players. Teams not ready to start at the commencement of a gamewill forfeit 2 points or each minute of time elapsed.

Points: Ties for overall positions will be decided firstly on the game between the two teams and then on percentages over the games bewteen the teams concerned.

Progress to Semi-finals: Teams that finish first and second in each pool will proceed to the Semi-finals. This will also be dependent upon the number of team entries. 

Zone defence: The junior division must not employ a zone defensive strategy during any games

Tribunal: Any reports by officials shall be dealt with by a judiciary as soon as possible during the carnival. In accordance with NSW Basketball tribunal rules, player suspensions will stand at this carnival and within all NSW Basketball Associations and Competitions. Any team that fields a suspended player shall be disqualified. 

Protest: Any protests must be submitted in writing within 30 minutes of the games in question. The committee shall meet on the matter as soon as possible, with the decision made being final. 

NSWCCC Basketball Teams Championship: The teams that win both the junior and intermediate divisions are eligible to register for the NSWCCC Teams Basketball Challenge
