Cross Country Championships

Event Information

Date: Tuesday 7th May 2019

Venue: St Ives Showground, St Ives

Division: 12 years to 18 years Boys and Girls

Commencing Time: 9:00am

Concluding Time: 2:00pm

The only walk of the course will be at 8:45am. The events will run continuously from 9:40am to 12:45pm. No interruptions.

Any students on the track will be disqualified unless they are competing in that race in progress.

All competitors must stay on the track as shown on the map (map distributed closer to the date). This will be strictly adhered to. All competitors must wear shoes

ALL PARTICPANTS MUST BE AT ST IVES SHOWGROUND AT LEAST 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED EVENT TIME. The suggested start times are a guide only.

iPods, MP3 players and mobile phones are not to be used by athletes during their event.

Competitors must be in the marshalling area at least 10 minutes before their event. Below are the anticipated starting times. Competitors must compete in their own age group. Age is taken from 31st December 2018.

To avoid problems and controversy and for a smoother running program, each school has been rostered to an official duty for the entire program, an adult or senior student is essential. (Report to Matt Harris at 9:30am for briefing at recording tent).

Points for teams based on your top 3 placings.

Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd individual in each race. Ribbons for top 3 teams per age/sex.

Top 6 placings for each age group will proceed to the CCC Carnival at Eastern Creek.
