Swimming Carnival
Event Information
Date: Monday 18th March 2019
Venue: Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre
Commencing Time: 8:45am managers meeting. 9am warm-up, 9:30am carnival commences
Concluding Time: 2:30pm

These are for the following events not swum at the Broken Bay Carnival:
- 400m freestyle
- 100m breastroke
- 100m backstroke
- 100m butterfly

Rules and Information:
Age Groups: 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17+ years girls and boys
Relay Age Groups: Junior (12,13,14), intermediate (15,16). Senior (17+). All Age relay in one swimmer from each age group- no swimmer can swim up and age in any relay. Competitor’s age is that which she/he turns this year
Reminder: you may enter 2 swimmers per age per sex in ALL 50m events. 1 swimmer for all other events
Trophies: Junior School Champions: 12,13 and 14 years girls and boys
Intermediate School Champions: 15 and 16 years girls and boys
Senior School Champions: 17+ years boys and girls
Overall School Champion: boys and girls
Individual Age Champions: (12,13,14,15,16 and 17+ years boys and girls)
Ribbons: ribbons will be awarded to the first 3 place getters.
Competitors MUST swim in their own age group only
Swim suits must be current FINA standards
Lanes are allocated according to times. ALL events will be seeded prior to the carnival.
Once competitors are in the hands of the officials they may not receive advice or coaching.
Competitors are not to leave the water or lane until told by the chief judge.
THE ONE START RULE WILL APPLY AND ALL FINA RULES FOR EACH STROKE/EVENT WILL BE ENFORCED.
